Paul is originally from Long Island, NY. However, he spent 18 years living in Orlando, Florida where he worked at the Walt Disney World Resort. Paul moved to Newnan in May of 2015 and became part of the Dogwood team in October of 2015. Outside of work, Paul and his partner Jason have 2 Chihuahuas - Glenn and Lola and a cat named Fiona. Paul enjoys bowling, playing tennis, and watching lots of television.
Wanda Wilson has been a part of our team since January of 1998. She enjoys working with all of the pets at our hospital and our great doctors. At home, she has two pets: a Poodle named Lucy and a cat named Pitty Pat. She and her husband Jimmy have been married since 1981.
Ansley has been a part of our team since June 2011 and she is currently in school studying to be a Veterinary Technician. She loves working with the animals and their owners. At home, Ansley has a number of pets at home including her Miniature Dachshund named Kahlua Bell, 2 Siberian Husky's named Malakai Topaz & Zaimah, Domestic Long Haired cat named Punkin Butt, Domestic Short Haired cats named Hobo & BB and various exotics. When she isn’t working, Ansley enjoys fishing, four-wheeling, mudding, camping, anything to do with the outdoors or animals, playing soccer, and going to the beach.
Hospital Technician / Inventory
Melanie grew up in a small, rural Southwest Georgia town known as Colquitt, GA. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Education degree from University of Georgia in 1995 and continues to be an avid Georgia Bulldog football fan. She lived in Denver, CO for twelve years; Memphis, TN for six years; and eventually landed back in her beloved state of Georgia in 2014. Melanie enjoys motorcycle riding, going to the beach, and hanging out with her five dogs in her spare time.
Shanna joined the Dogwood family in October 2014 and has brought with her several years of experience in the veterinary field as both a CSR and an assistant. Outside of Dogwood she shares her home with her wife Brandi and their 5 dogs, Boomer, Roxy, Fida, Simon and Tybee and 3 cats Fatty, Cadi and Curtis Lowe. In her spare time Shanna enjoys travel, camping out in their "Westy" and collecting and selling antique and vintage items. Being born and raised in Kentucky, she is a huge Wildcats fan, but can also be seen cheering for the Dawgs. Of course only when they are not playing each other!
Tracy Ledford Kennel
Tracy has worked in the Veterinary field for over 13 years. She recently moved to the area from the mountains of Western North Carolina. Seeking a warmer locale and her love of The Walking Dead , this former Atlanta native chose the Senoia area for her new chapter. She lives with her two canine furbabies, Kane and Drea. She loves making sure the boarders are well taken care of , comfortable, and get extra loving while they are away from their owners.
Kacie was raised in Powder Springs, Ga. She acquired a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of West Georgia while on softball scholarship. She has been working in the Veterinary field now for a little over 6 years. She earned her Veterinary Assistant certification through Cedar Valley College where she is currently working towards her Veterinary Technician certification. She is happily married to Tim Petty of Carrollton, GA. Her children are 3 dogs: Bandit (shepherd mix), Nanook (Eskimo Spitz), and Junior (long-haired Chihuahua). She loves spending time with her husband and 3 dogs. She loves traveling, camping, hiking, biking, the beach, singing karaoke and throwing theme parties year ‘round J…even the dogs like participating.
Before Kathryn knew what she wanted to be when she grew up, she earned a BA in English Literature from North Georgia College and State University. She then spent 2 years serving in the Peace Corps in Azerbaijan as an English teacher. When she came home, she rediscovered her passion for animals and found that she could work with them without having to repeat chemistry or go to Vet School. She joined the Dogwood Family in 2014, and in 2015, she completed the requirements for registration and became an RVT. Currently, she's pursuing a Master's in Advance Practice Veterinary Nursing from the University of Glasgow (online, of course). Kathryn has also written articles and blogs for national veterinary publications, and is a speaker at national veterinary conferences. In her down time, she enjoys hiking with her husband and 2 dogs, reading, paint by numbers, and is training for her first half marathon. She loves making people laugh, especially with really bad jokes.
Certified Veterinary Assistant
Meagan joined dogwood in October 2015. She has been a great addition to the team. She grew up in Kansas with her mom and siblings. Meagan loves long walks in the park and her best friend Randi. Meagan has several fur babies of her own. She is a former Olympian ping pong player. She loves serving her community and anytime she can volunteer for a good cause she will. We are so glad to have her on our team!
Stephanie grew up in the small town of Forsyth, GA. She was a veterinary assistant for 2 years, one of which was spent in emergency veterinary medicine. She has a Chihuahua named Tink who she loves more than life itself. She was recently engaged to her best friend, Jesse Deyo. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and going to concerts. She is extremely excited about the opportunity to work at such an amazing hospital with such a atmosphere!
Randi joined our team in June of 2016 but has been working in the veterinary field for 10 years now. She is currently working towards her Bachelor's degree in Biology at the University of West Georgia with hopes of continuing on to medical school. She has two fur babies at home, a mastiff mix named King and a cat name Bagheera. When she isn't working or studying, she likes to try new food and travel anywhere near water.
Tori is an avid animal lover. She has 15 different animal at home. Tori is currently in school to become an RVT. She is originally from Newnan and loves our city of homes. She also plans on going back to UWG to complete her Biology degree. She enjoys the beach, skiiing and outdoor activities.
Samantha is one of the newer members to join the Dogwood Family. Originally from Arkansas, She and her husband, Kyle moved to Georgia in 2016. She attended Arkansas State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Science and Health. She is the proud mom to two fur children, Benjamin Alexander D'Wade Drake (aka Benny, the mini poodle) and Bailey Ann Drake (the yorkipoo). In her spare time she enjoys playing and watching basketball, any outdoor activity, pretending to be a food critic, reading, watching documentaries, and crafting.
I enjoy cruising (on Royal Caribbean) and spending time with my family. I have a degree in Social Psychology and a minor in Criminology. I love my job in the Veterinary profession and I look forward to all the adventures that will come with it.
