A native Georgian, Dr. Morris received his B.S. in 1974 and D.V.M. degree in 1978 from the University of Georgia. He has been a practitioner in Coweta County since 1980 and business partners with Dr. Berta since 1985. Together they formed Coweta Veterinary Associates PC in 1985, and in 1990 they built Dogwood Veterinary Hospital, incorporating into Dogwood Veterinary Group in May, 1999.

Experienced in large animal reproduction, he employed the use of bovine embryo transfer, a technique through which an early pregnancy may be transferred from one animal to another. Retiring from large animal medicine in May of 2000, Dr. Morris is now practicing small animal medicine full-time with Dogwood Veterinary Group.

His interests in small animal medicine are in the fields of orthopedic surgery, general surgery, and VOM - veterinary orthopedic manipulation. He thoroughly enjoys interaction with clients, their pets and the Dogwood staff.

Dr. Morris has been married to Becky since 1975, and they have a daughter, Baylee, born in 1980 and a son, Tyler, born in 1984. His hobbies include tree farming, snow skiing, fishing, motocross and motorcycle repair.

His pets are dogs, Chipper and JJ; and Pepper, Pumpy and Sammy, cats.

Dr. Morris is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association .
